Fresh water for everyone: New drinking fountain opened at the Soroptimist Bridge
In mid-July, a new public drinking fountain was ceremoniously opened at the Soroptimist Bridge in St. Pölten. Mayor Matthias Stadler, Past President Ingeborg Haslhofer-Jünnemann, Project Manager Elisabeth Fuchsbauer (Biku Managing Director) and numerous Soroptimists from the St. Pölten Club took part in the opening.
The drinking fountain is available to all citizens free of charge and is a sustainable contribution to public health promotion - especially on hot days. The project was initiated by the Soroptimist Club St. Pölten and implemented in close cooperation with the city.
In addition, the club installed an orange bench as part of the international "Orange the World" initiative, which not only invites people to linger, but also serves as a visible sign against violence against women.
